It is worked from the bottom up in stranded knitting with steeks. After cutting the steeks, edges are picked up and knit. The vest looks complicated, but is much easier than it looks, and is a good place to start for those who have not steeked before.<\/p>\n<p>The color pattern is syncopated by strategic purl stitches, a nod to Bohus knitting, but much simplified and symmetric compared to traditional Bohus patterns.<\/p>\n<p><em>Size:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Women&#8217;s XS (S \u2013 M \u2013 L \u2013 XL \u2013 2X \u2013 3X \u2013 4X \u2013 5X). Finished chest measurement 83 (96 \u2013 102 \u2013 115 \u2013 128 \u2013 134 \u2013 147 \u2013 154 \u2013 166) cm \/ 32\u00be (37\u00be \u2013 40\u00bc \u2013 45\u00bc \u2013 50\u00bd \u2013 53 \u2013 58 \u2013 60\u00bd \u2013 65\u00bd) inches. <\/p>\n<p><em>Yarn:<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"column\">Rauma Finull.<\/p>\n<p>2 (3 \u2013 3 \u2013 4 \u2013 4 \u2013 5 \u2013 5 \u2013 6 \u2013 6) skeins of main color, and the same number of skeins of background color. One skein each of two contrast colors.<\/p>\n<p><em>Gauge:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Colorwork in Folkvang pattern using 3 mm (US 2\u00bd) needle: 25 sts x 27 rounds = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches).<\/p>\n<p><em>Level:<\/em><br \/>\nPattern assumes knowledge of stranded colorwork. The vest is suitable as a first larger, steeked project for knitters who have completed a smaller colorwork project.
