This yarn consists of 72% kid mohair and 28% mulberry silk. It is produced in South Africa adhering to strict animal welfare standards. Especially long and soft kid mohair fibers are used for brushed lace yarn, and out of many silk mohair yarns available, we find that Mohair by Canard is one of the softest! No silicone or other softeners are added to the yarn.<\/p>\n
Brushed lace can be knitted by itself, but really shines when held together with another yarn. The silk mohair lends its very best properties to the the other yarn, making the finished knit softer and airier.<\/p>\n
Many different gauges are possible, depending on which yarn the silk mohair is knit together with, and depending on the needle size.<\/p>\n
