Description
Knitting pattern for the Folkvang Vest, pdf file for download.
The Folkvang Vest is a decorative and practical piece for layering in spring and fall. It is worked from the bottom up in stranded knitting with steeks. After cutting the steeks, edges are picked up and knit. The vest looks complicated, but is much easier than it looks, and is a good place to start for those who have not steeked before.
The color pattern is syncopated by strategic purl stitches, a nod to Bohus knitting, but much simplified and symmetric compared to traditional Bohus patterns.
